Himeji castle is what many people think of when talking  about Japanese castles but it is only the start. I have visited over 30 castles, castle ruins, and castle sites and I assure you that each one is original in its own way.

My purpose for creating this site is:

1. To show as many castle / castle ruins / castle sites in Japan as possible.

2. To educate others who would like to learn about Japanese castles.

I hope this site will become the most comprehensive Japanese Castle resource on the net.
