At many important castles, castle sites, and castle ruins across Japan you can obtain a stamp as proof of your visit.  Sometimes this stamp is at the ticket gate, in the food area, at the museum nearby, or in other hard to find locations.  I have around twenty castle stamps which I personally obtained.  I hope others will send me copies of castle stamps they also obtained so I can make this the most comprehensive castle stamp site on the web.
