Also known as : Shirasagi Castle - The White Heron Castle

This is a picture of the new bridge built in 2007 leading to the main gate.  They have really fixed up the area around the entrance over the last year.  It looks great.  -------- I have heard that in 2009 Himeji castle will be closed for a year for renovations.  This will surely disappoint many visitors so they are going to build an elevated viewing platform so people can atleast get a view of what the castle looks like.
